Seriously,
I can care less if they start charging for resources that I never use, but I really wish Autodesk would quit sponsoring them because that cost just gets passed on to us as the customer.

I mainly go to AUGI for the Revit boards (S/MEP) since there aren't that many Reviteers over heres.  Word!   :mrgreen:

But yeah, I ain't paying no stinking fee.  I've got logins for other Revit forums if need be.

Just need StickyFace (whatever his user name is.  You know who I'm talking 'bout), RobDraw, Hudson and Snoop Krushy Krush to get up to speed with Revit so they can teach ME a thing or three.


(Why yes, I AM getting a little silly, aren't I?)

I don't care what they call it... I only care about the discounted ADN membership (which is a steal!) and as it happens both free to me after turning down an award which came with a free pass to AU and four nights hotel stay (which ended up going to a coworker ironically)... I'd like to think I got the better one anyway.

Even if you never login again, the discounted ADN membership makes it worth while IMO... If that is not of interest, so be it.

Of note...the whole idea for the membership as I understand it is to reduce the direct support AUGI needs to stay afloat from Autodesk.
This is specifically why they went down that other fail path with Solid Vapour trying to find some way to monetize the AUGI community.
As some of you recall at that time I suggested that a better path would be exactly this one, however I do think the price is more than a
little inflated for the value most will get from paying it.
On the upside, there may be a few more members joining us here, and donating for the value we have that AUGI seems to lack
through their stiffling 'moderators' and political alliance to Autodesk.
