Topic: Command Line won't stay at 3 lines after crash

This happens a lot after a crash, any way to keep the command line at the bottom and at 3 lines? Workspace save changes or not doesnt seem to help at all.

Happens to me too. You can add CLIPROMPTLINES to SYSVARMONITOR.

and I had to make a new profile, then in cui ->new profile->commandline->allow docking->Do not change  then wssave again, then crashed  and on opening the command line stayed docked.
Although in the cui the allow docking haad changed to "yes". Maybe it will stay.

It's possible that during a crash, you cuix is getting corrupted. When acad opens, it saves a copy of the current cuix to a backup. When restarting after a crash, perhaps it's getting an old setting?

Have you tried to see why you are crashing so much?  You mentioned that it happened again after you made a new profile.

You may have the answer as to why I needed a new profile, as I can't seem to fix the cad one. I crash a lot from client dwgs (converted from sketchup, rhino etc) so I was using one of these to test the command line. It seems that deleting viewports can save a bad dwg sometimes I don't know why.

That doesn't sound like a bad profile, just a bad dwg. You might try a RECOVER before opening them. A bad viewport is a common issue with dwg's from other systems.

The change of profile is working.  I audit dwgs often and recover seldom works. I havent figured out if there is a difference between the 2 yet.
