Batch Convert to Mickeystation
« on: February 25, 2004, 01:53:48 PM »
Hey Se7en (or any other Microstation user),

Is there a way to batch convert AutoCAD files to dgn (v7) by selecting a directory or something?

Thanks,

Ron :D

I'm not up-to-date on the issues with all this drawing conversion stuff yet so i say just DXF-out the dwg and open 'er up in Crapystation.

AutoCad dwg files open directly in Anygraph V8. There is a built in conversion routine in prior versions. (or so the troll that uses anygraph here says.) BUT BOTH ARE ONE AT A TIME DEALS.

I have version 7 and version 8. The files I need to submit need to be in v7 format. What is the quickest way to convert all these files (about 100 of them)?

Thanks,

Ron

in V8,
go to Utilities,
Batch converter.
You want to select your DWG files, tell it you want them to be V7 dgn files.
tell it where to put them.
under edit, you can set certain settings, you can map layering to numbers etc...

You'll have to play with it to get what you want in the end.

Is that batch converter an add-on? I do not see that option under utilities.

I guess I should clarify,
what version of V8 do you have installed?
I am running 08.01.01.09
this would be V8.1

I would take a guess your still on v8.0 and that must not be in there
or at least not in the same place...

let me know

I'm running 08.00.00.21. Is there a liveupdate or something for this software?

providing you have "select services" you can go to Bentley's website
and download the new version.
It is a little big but I'm sure you know that already.
