I'm not against users taking advantage of the utilities per se, though I do openly tell folks I won't install or support them.
However I flat out will not use any of the ACET code libraries, and that's what I was making reference to in my first and second posts. There are various authors, some qualified, some not so much; some code is so so, some of it complete crap, some of it resides in arx files without source code ad infinitum, and worse, the package as a whole has historically enjoyed a sporadic existence with regards to licensing and availability. To be aware of these factors and then deliberately invite them into a software project would, imo, be irresponsible -- ergo my first comment.
No thanks, writing and supporting software is challenging enough when (you enjoy the illusion) everything is under your control.
