open-foreign dwg dialog box. Audit\Recover
« on: March 30, 2023, 12:56:53 PM »
I was in ribarm's  challenge file and I noticed it came up the the open-foreign dwg dialog box. I am curious why does recover clean this message from a file yet Audit leaves it?

I have always assume them to be pretty much the same command. What is the difference between audit and recover? I've not found anything that tells you what one covers that the other does not.

@Lonnie
The file was saved through BricsCAD - thus dialog box for not Autodesk DWG... If you want to remove pop up upon loading, just open DWG, press continue and WBLOCK all items into blank DWG... Next time open wblocked DWG and pop up won't show...

Your file was the start of the rabbit hole that got me thinking about audit/recover. Having the open-foreign dwg dialog box removed by one and not the other proved to me there where differences. Google (and myself) pretty much said meh they did the same thing. I was hoping someone here knew or could dissect the commands someway and see just what is different between them.
