Mark,
Thank you for providing a place for me to grow as a programmer, a cad manager, and now as a construction administrator, while at the same time, a place for me just hang out and make friends from all over the world that has helped me expand my views and opinions of the world.    Thank you.

Greg,
What John wants is for you and I to pack our bags.  Because he going to push us off this merry-go-round.   :-P

Words can't adequately convey the gratitude appropriate to express. Mark & Co. have achieved the seemingly impossible: create a community to bring together the brightest and the best -- without advertising -- without want for profit. CEO for life. Kudos, kudos, kudos. Hope you are blessed with many opportunities to explore and indulge in the activities that you most enjoy Mark. Shoulder punch & beer.

Mark - Thanks! The Swamp has been a valuable resource to me over the years! I also still remember all the help and support you, Stephan and others gave to me back in the day on the Autodesk forums (cir. early 90's). And Also Thanks John for taking over to keep this going!

It is sad to see you go, but it is also good to know that this will be in safe hands. Really, these boards are very helpful and I would hate to loose such a resource.

No worries guys. The first time John mentions VIM or Conditional statements I'll take his whip away and hide it.

Just for the record: back when TheSwamp was "big" (some people may remember "BigSwamp" before it was "TheSwamp"), Mark introduced me to Vi...umm, err..."an awesome editor that shall remain nameless". So you guys can feel free to 'thank' him for that too.

naz,
Mark has been a member here for over 15 yeaqrs ... in fact he was the first registered member.
Sometimes he did far worse things than post in the wrong threads ... we let him do it because he is a really nice guy.

Regatrds

PS,
also, this is the most visited branch and the best for him to post this especially significant news.
