Generic - Automation Question.
« on: October 07, 2013, 07:44:37 AM »
Had a thought and was curious how everyone would approach this.
Lets say you seem to do the same thing within CAD over and over. Lets say you do Plan Sheet Setup or something. And you are xrefing files with DIFFERENT names into sheet files.

Is there a program tha can follow your mouse clicks and then possible stop for user selection then continue with the automation until it reaches the end of the cycle?

Here is the workflow Idea:

User has a blank template dwg.
User then browses for a title block to place 0,0 in paperspace. (TitleBlock has a JobNo. in its file name).
User then clicks in model space.
User Xrefs base files in 0,0 in modelspace. (Base dwgs has JobNo. in its file name.)
User Clicks into paperspace.
Creates a box for an mview.
User creates scale for mview.
User setups page setup.
User purge
User Audit
User saves
User exits dwg.

Please let me know your thoughts... I like thinking out of the box on somethings. But this may make sense or its total the wrong direction.

Thanks
