Civil 3D 2012 | Cursor Issues
« on: December 20, 2012, 12:01:02 PM »
I've been using Civil 3D 2011 for some time without any such issue, and recently needed to use Civil 3D 2012 (SP2.1) for a specific project... Regardless of OOTB, or Custom/Client Profile, my cursor is constantly flickering, and/or shows the Win7 'busy' circle beneath.  :realmad:

... Any ideas as to a fix?  :?

System:  Dell Precision M6600, Quad-core i7 2.3 Ghz, 16GB RAM, 2GB GDDR5 Nvidia Quadro 3000M, Windows 7 Enterprise (64-Bit)

Try toggling Hardware acceleration off/on, or on/off.

Try toggling Hardware acceleration off/on, or on/off.

Tried that already, and it doesn't seem to make any difference (for the end user, not sure what it's doing behind the scene).

And when you toggle it, do you need to save and restart AutoCad, and then toggle it back?

We had this problem on one computer and ended up doing an uninstall/reinstall that somehow managed to fix the problem.  When originally installed, 2012 worked OK, but then developed the cursor flicker later.  It must have been a setting somewhere, and the reinstall seemed to correct it.
