Topic: Can I integrate some Autocad .Net related code without dll?

I have a desktop application which needs to take some info from some dwg files.
My question is: can I create a module (Autocad .Net) which I connect to the main module of the desktop application, without opening Autocad and/or generating the dll file.

I hope you understand what I'm asking.
If not, let's put it this way: the only way I'm used to use Autocad.Net is this way:
- write code
- generate dll file
- open Autocad and the dwg files
- loading the dll files
- use your command methods

Is there another way to use Autocad .Net?

Teigha not free but reasonably priced.
Yes documentation is included along with sample/example apps.
I've been using it for years and have been very happy with the stability and speed.

I have not created or edited any dwg files with it.
I only need to quickly read them as you describe.
