When using AECWallDim, the default layer that is created is A-Anno-Dims. How can I specify which layer I want these dims on? ADT does this with any AEC command, creating the object on a layer it names. How would one change this?

It would be most helpful if you'd let us know which version you're using.

you can edit your layer key style, or apply an override to the layer key style.
Go to the "desktop" pulldown theu under "layer management" you will see "layer key styles" and "layer key overrides"

Sorry fellows. I am using ADT 3.3. This is my first experience with ADT. I changed jobs and now I am using this product. I don't have a lot of trouble with AutoCAD, but this program has presented some challenges in the last week of use. It seems to be an idea tool for the work we do, residential semi-custom homes, but I would like to learn the program to better help myself and others. Is there a good text on this program? I bought a book last week, but it was not very helpful. It was just a tutorial with no deep discussions on how or what works. Would it be better if I were to purchase an earlier book that covers the program from the previous releases? Thanks
