2008 or 2009?
« on: June 09, 2008, 10:57:53 AM »
IT is dragging their feet on getting us our new machines to install our AutoCAD upgrades onto.  I have had the network deployments ready for 2008 for quite some time.  I'm told that our new machines will be another month, so I think I will create new deployments for 2009 instead.

Any arguments for sticking with 2008 over 2009?  Otherwise, I'm going to go ahead with '09.

hehe. I'm still in limbo on the 08 VS 09 issue. I do have to order soon since my time envelope is closing. Every project I do is 3D, and I have lots of code that may or may not be tranferrable from 04 to 08 (09), save for the CUI menu structuring that started in 06, but I've worked with it on other jobs so thats just a necessary evil that I'm itching to scratch.

Yeah, I've read that but figured there'd be some patching. Guess not.

Hmm... Maybe I'll create the 2009 deployment, but keep the 2008 one around just in case.

a very prudent idea . . . perhaps even just keep the 2009 around just to toss the boys a bone next year when 2010 comes out of the gate like Big Brown.

...and the "Swampy" award goes to...

DINO! For his magnificent use of the odds on favorite Big Brown in the same context as AutoCad 2009. Congrats!
