Anyone know how to hatch an area ,so it has no boundary?Im hoping to have a grille show the wire mesh in just the odd corner but without a boundary round it.I've seen it somewhere, just havent the time to be looking all night on the net and need to get the rest of my drawing finished so I can sleep :) .

Draw the boundary. Make sure it's not associative hatch and erase the boundary. That or have the boundary on a separate layer and freeze it after you create the hatch.

If you use the 'hatch' command which is a command line, not bhatch.
Answer all the prompts and when it ask to "Select Object"
just press enter.
See below as I created a circle hatch with no boundry.
