Turn on visibility by Nominal Radius
« on: January 26, 2022, 04:05:39 PM »
I posted in the Revit MEP forum but I always like to see what you all think.

I would like to create a little more automation to a Pipe Accessory. I have several sizes of a part (body) that have been imported into a family. I would like the body size to change when the Nominal Radius changes.
A table would like like this.

.25"-2" pipe=body 1
2-4" pipe=body 2
4-10" pipe=body 3
10-18" pipe=body 4
18-30" pipe=body 5
right now I am choosing the (Family) type and it sets the right body. I would like just to choose the family and have it parametrically choose the right one.

I am thinking

2" = and(not(3"), (not(4"), (not(6"))

along with some other statement should get me there.

Thank you for the reply.

yes a lookup table or an intelligent parameter would work if it reads the pipe diameter and pushes it to the right family type. :idiot2: (test emoji :idiot1:)

I know you can capture the pipe dia and push it through either a table or a parameter. I just don't know how to do it.
