Civil 3d 2018 bloat issue
« on: December 16, 2017, 06:27:41 PM »
Hey all, read something last night, if you're not aware there's supposedly a bit of a bloat issue with the embed surface option in civil 3d 2018. Need to shut them off in your templates / files if you don't really use it. Image attached for reference

I never really noticed it... What does it do for a bloatware type of thing? Performance or file size?

i wonder if that is in there regarding other issues with DREFs not always staying current/synchronized?

I could see where it might be a good thing, if one were taking work off the network (like home or airplane) and still being able to see the DREF surface information and use it for design purposes.

File size...for some reason files are growing endlessly (apparently).
