Deleting revclouds deletes the revision
« on: November 01, 2017, 05:42:42 am »
I revised a sheet up and deleted the revcloud from the previous revision, but it also deleted the revision they were associated with from the revisions on sheet.
It doesn't do this on every sheet, just ones at random.

The revision wasn't marked as issued, and no matter how I try I can't replicate the process that caused this.
Anyone have any ideas of how this happened?

why delete..? do not delete.. to go sheet rev manager and set rev to none under show column, if revision is complete .. then it will show in sheet and always be docu mented..

Can't do that, it's a UK job, each sheet is only re-issued as and when it's revised, so if I turn off the clouds for a particular revision, its also turned off on sheets which may not have been revised in this issue.

Keep an individual PDF copy and merge the documents into a set instead of reprinting the whole set from Revit (turn rev clouds off, of course to NOT delete the revision before you reprint the plan).

Couldn't you set it to Revisions per Sheet vs per Project?
And then you can control what you show on each sheet?

No. The sheet option allows you place revisions on any number of sheets. If as has been suggested, a particular revision cloud is unticked, then all sheets with that revision will loose their clouds. What I tend to do, and its not perfect, is to hide the rev clouds on the sheet in question, so this will allow sheets with various revisions to be published together. As I said not perfect but does work.

we have a project with per sheet revisions, its a nightmare, I might have the same revision on 3 sheets, but they might be at different revisions, so need to add it 3 times to the revision list
