Placing periods anywhere in a path or filename except to delineate the file extension is asking for worlds of pain. Just don't. Notwithstanding path length limitations.

As far as I know, no EMDS is used, Alterego.

McAfee, ronjonp. Checked the file and absolutely clean.

Does it disappear immediately, or over night? If over night .. perhaps a cleanup script is being run?
