Theswamp will be offline starting tomorrow.

This place will be offline for a while starting tomorrow. We are in the path of Hurricane Irma.

Mark are you sheltering in place?
I put up wood shutters today. I'm at 97' MSL in Brandon so high & dry but the wind may be an issue.
Looks like the eye may run right over us. Hoping it's down to CAT 2 or less when it gets here.

All good here. No major damage in my neighborhood. We were fortunate that the storm made landfall where it did. That took a lot of strength out of it. If it would have stayed offshore and made landfall around Tampa bay I wouldn't be posting this. :)

NorthWest Florida and we got like 1/4" rain and a little wind. They close down schools but it was mainly for shelter space for people coming up from the South.

Good to hear, Mark! The Swamp is definitely back up far quicker than I had expected.

I believe that user BlackBox is in, or near, Naples. I last heard from him Saturday evening. He is on higher ground, so he was only concerned about the wind. Based on the news reports I've seen, it sounds like that wind was intense.

I have some family in Ft Myers and they supposedly fine with minor damage.

No major damage here in Brandon. Lots of limbs down & no power in my neighbor hood but they said it would be back on today.
Just got the internet back but running on generator power. Dodged the bullet again.
