Adjustable Height and Array in Family
« on: March 28, 2017, 11:19:51 am »
I'm trying to create a multi-service installation frame as a family.
I need it to be variable width, length and height. I tried setting it as an array, but it won't constrain properly.
Am I correct in assuming that once items are grouped for an array you can't adjust their individual dimensions?

variable values is contradicatory to array.. maybe multiple families.. or several on and off items for yes no parameter s... ?

I eventually came up with this, it adjusts the sizes correctly, but the only way I could think to do it without the array is to have multiple versions aligned together, and now I get an error saying items will be counted twice in any scheduling.

hmmmm

its a 2016 family for anyone interested

Are the center lines of the supports really spaced like this??
If they were all equally spaced then an array would work perfectly.

yeah, the overall frame size has be a max of 1500mm long, so minus 20.5mm for the width of the unistrut makes that length.
These are prefabricated on Site with all the pipework, containment etc added to them then just bolted together on site, so a services installation takes weeks not months.

The array does work, i just can't set it up to allow for the height and width to alter
