Create New Linetype Help

Vince:
Swamp Members,

I am trying to create a linetype to meet a requirement for a Rock Line in section. The line is an irregular rough surface (not smooth straight line) and it contains a shape at regular intervals that indicate the rock line in section. I created the rock symbol with a segment of irregular rough line on either side of the symbol, made that a shape and then created a linetype from that. The resulting linetype works when all the segments of the line are straight lines or polylines however, I am have difficulty with the linetype when the segments are curved and or rounded which occurs often.

I have attached an AutoCAD drawing of this linetype trying to show the problems I am experiencing with the various conditions......and hope some of the AutoCAD experts can help me resolve this situation....??

Thank you in advance for your help,
Vince

See the attached.  Is that what you are looking for?

Have a look at the source of the ZIGZAG linetype that comes with Autocad.  I had a look at that to see how they did it, and used that to built it.

Yopu might have to redo the linetype in imperial units.  Mine is based on metric units.

Willie,

Thank you for your reply....!

Yes the linetype appears to hold together when the spline has tight curves......Is it possible for you to send me the ".lin" file for the "Rock-Lt" linetype....??

Thanks again for your help,
Vince
