« on: October 28, 2016, 01:36:56 pm »
Hi everybodyI accidentally deleted the driver for my dvd/cd-rom device and now cannot use my dvd-cd rom device
I looked everywhere (Gateway-my computer) (Microsoft - the driver source) no help whatsoever!!
If any has a driver for my device, I would appreciate it if they could e-mail it to me??
This is it:

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

try 'uninstall', Windows will try and find the driver or install a generic one.
Failing that you will need to look for the driver online.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Got it worked out by editing registry. Thanks again
