  • I can't remeber what I already asked! I need help!
I know this is more of a Civil3D thing probably. They have a label routine that will allow you to select a line / arc segment or even through an Xref and attach a Mleader to it. Usually the Mleader does not have the arrow leader to it, but the Mleader Text partition is parallel with the object selected by the user.

I did not know if AutoCAD had a way to do this generically or is this something that can be a routine?

Usually what I have been doing to get a similiar result as the Civil3D Label:

Picking and aligning the DText to a line.

Then I use Lee Macs' "Dynamic Text Alignment"
http://www.lee-mac.com/dynamictextalignment.html

To Slide the DText Along the Object.

Then, Convert the DTEXT to MTEXT

Finally, Convert the MTEXT to MLEADER.

(Is there away to select an object and then start typing text that aligns to the object?)

Sorry my mind is all over they place on this one...
