Create All your standard Worksets Quickly
« on: May 10, 2016, 05:50:50 am »
A Dynamo Scirpt to Automatically create your worksets for you.

The project must be workset enabled before you run your script or it will fail.
Also this Script requires Dynamo 1.0 to run.
I've included the excel Sheet as well to you get an idea of how its laid out

Cool.

I have a workset-enabled template file with all of our worksets already defined and which trade views see them (or don't).

I'm having a difficult time finding a good use for Dynamo in our MEP models. Most of what I see it do I've already got something similar set up in our template. And don't get me started on how it can create a cow or a Star Wars AT-ST or goofy arse shaped steel structures.

What I'm looking at is finding all our repetitive tasks and seeing if I can replace them with a dynamo script.

One which looks promising is driving a coloured hatch drawing for engineering, checking required lux levels, heating and ventilation requirements against a room excel sheet and changing the colour to Green for a pass, or red for a fail. a quick engineering check which would flag up any issues quickly.

Also I'm thinking about one which would report on plenum spaces, and whether or not they would require fire detection based on whether the space is higher than 800mm.
But I'm struggling to find a way to get Dynamo to report on Plenum spaces only.
