Corridors and Create Grading Feature Line from Corridor
« on: April 27, 2016, 01:14:55 PM »
This ties into my Civil3D bug. We have tried this on several machines here at our office.

It seems when we do the command above in version 2016 SP1, and add the feature lines to a new surface; that the elevations do not match the corridor.

When we do them in 2015, they work.

Hopefully the photos make more sense.

Or its something I am missing.

thanks

is that in a region of Super Elevation, or Just normal cross slopes?

IF in Super, this is a problem I submitted to Autodesk about 5 years back...through a multi-national engineering firm.
We never did get a response from them.

Woohoo Great.

So the only work around for this is to just paste the corridor surface into the proposed surface. that way when the road gets updated. it also updated everything else.

there is that...about the 'only' reason one has to extract feature lines from the corridor is to extend grading from the corridor, however if one can do most of that with links not feature lines

of note

Isn't it interesting that the 'new' tool setting  SMOOTHING Tolerance is most likely the fault
rendering the new tool useless?  And people still wonder why I vetch so much about how poor the
new version every year strategy is for the users of the product....yeah I'm the crazy one about that....
