Topic: Data Reference - Slowness

Anyone have an idea how to troubleshoot through SEVERAL data references within a project? I have a project that was fine I worked on a month ago. It had like 30 Data references. It opened fine. Now it takes like 5 mins to open each drawing. Any ideas on this one? Thanks!

perhaps try 'validate' them from within the original source file(s)



are you using some DFS? 

are they being scanned by your anti virus?

So far this is what I have. I try to remove the data shortcuts from the Toolspace and then they are removed. However, Once I have another user open the same drawing, they reappear. I have even tried to delete them from the folder where the XMLs are stored. Still the same thing, and the drawings still take forever to load. weird...
