This was discussed a couple of years ago here as well; the JTB links may be of particular use.

If I understand you correctly, no - But this isn't a Windows issue, it's an Autodesk issue, as only they can 'tell' Windows OS to recognize DWGPROPS' fields via Windows Explorer (Win7 and earlier), or File Explorer (Win8.1+) during installation, without having the need to run 3rd party software to accomplish same.

IIRC the last time this worked correctly was with R14 and NT 3.5...  that's what -- 16 years and still not working???

... And you're not pointing this out in beta because...?

I could use the help, frankly.

did you?

If you actually participated in this years Beta, rather than whining here constantly, you'd speak to me with a very different tone, my friend. :-D

Going off memory but I think adding all the features will install the plug-in for explorer.
I think that is what I did for 2015 win7  though

If you go to Control Panel and Add/Remove features do you have any not installed?

I am pretty sure most of us are working in 2014 and older.. I'm not sure what "Add-On" you are referring to , but this is what I've got installed currently(2014).

So which option adds this to windows explorer?

Autodesk 360 for AutoCAD
Migrate Custom Settings
.. adding all the samples
or
Visual LISP (R) Tutorials

Cuz if it's none of these..  Then it ain't in 2014

I am very  trainable....   (forgive my spelling)

Mr. BlackBox

How would one go about participating in the bata's
...  if one was so inclined to do so?

Maybe this requires a new thread...   Would you mind?

I am not sure which one and use to show them until he reinstalled it but his windows explorer does not show extra properties and only has following features installed.

Model Documentation
Drawing Encryption
Express Tools
Reference Manager

Likewise, is my point.

[Edit] - I'm not at liberty to elaborate, so like I said, I could use the help.

We may buck heads, but I too am not your adversary, my friend. Merely pointing out the different ways we each have chosen to go about addressing the issues that are important to us.

I do wish you'd voice many of your concerns in beta; I'm sure you've done it all before, but still.

Cheers
