Topic: Possible? (Block in dwg to Insert Detail)

Would it be possible to tie a block or block name to a detail to insert into the current drawing?

Like if there was a block of a fire hydrant, Hanidcap Ramp, etc. (Objects that are not line work; like a curb or or concrete pavement line.)?

Of course, you just make the block and explode it upon insertion to edit it easily.
