[2013] Civil 3D pipe rules & recommended workflow
« on: February 04, 2013, 01:23:36 PM »
Are pipe rules simply there for the initial creation of a pipe network to get things roughly in the correct location?  And then you fine tune the layout/design in a profile view?  That's kind of the way it seems (to me).  Maybe I missed that in the C3D help files but I'm just looking for some validation.

(I've been away from AutoCAD/Civil 3D for so long so I'm sure I'll have more questions.  The Revit world makes so much more sense.)

That is a reasonable explanation in my limited Civil 3D experience, given the behavior I have observed.

I agree...always requires cleanup... though I am sure lots of that has to do with the styles themselves.
