civil 3d - Infill issue
« on: November 06, 2012, 03:41:41 PM »
I've done a little searching on line on this and have come up empty handed.

I'll try to describe my issue the best I can.

I'm working on a small grading surface, when I create my infill for this grading, the infill seems to be recognizing alignments I have running through the infill area, and dropping the infill surface down to 0.  Is there a way to get the infill to ignore the alignments?

Oh good, the picture did show up (it didn't in the preview).   Notice my tin lines (the gray lines), they all connect to the BP and EPs of the alignments within  the infill.  These are all at 0 elevation, making my grading surface look like this:

Try moving your infill surface to a new/different site

the alignments are most likely already set to no site....right Banner?

perhaps set there layers off and frozen

I will run a test on this later this morning and report back.

Update:  Problem fixed.  The alignments were in the same site as the grading.  Once I removed the alignments from the site, it worked perfectly.   Thank you all for the help.

Good to know.
Curious why you are placing alignments in sites, unless you need to get ROW legal descriptions from them?

Otherwise it is always best to create ones alignments 'site'-less

No real reason,  I always just thought they were best placed in a site.

Lesson learned.
