You can make this with a mass element, you can take the out line you have there and convert it to a Mass element, I'll attach an example, I'm using ADT 2005. shortly

Here is my attempt in ADT, the blocking in your wall I can't do on the top view, :|  just the Sides, but show a section with a top view, if you had to do that with this ADT object you can generate a 2D Section and add the "X" on the blocking, hope this helps

Are mass element better to than wall modifiiers for this.  Are mass elements easy to modify?

Thank you,

Mass elements are independent objects, they can have there own Display Representations, like walls do (Reflected, screened, etc), they are pretty easy to modify, Parametric controls like all AEC objects, they have vertex controls like slabs and walls and also use Solid "like" commands for Union, Subtract, etc.

They can also be used as body modifying of Walls.

It really depends on your need.  :-)
