Full vs Half Plot pen weights

When getting to lighter pen weights some will not plot especially on our kip.
For your half size plot do you bump the lighter the pen weights slightly and the heavier ones closer to half or do any you actually make your half plot .stb or .ctb half the weights of the full?
or maybe just toggle on scale lineweights?

I end up doing the same thing - thinner lines aren't as thin as they would be by linear scaling so they actually show up, especially after a photocopy or two.
