Excel to Acad

Hi Everyone

Here in the UK we are all soooo excited about the Olympics.....groans :realmad:

That said

Using Datalink you can set up a table that will update itself on the drawing with changes to the excel program however, is there a way that while in excel you have the tag numbers say HV1234 and you change it to HV1235 it updates the cad text on the drawing rather than a table?

Or should I get into the tardice and move foward 100 years?

Nope, there's some way to change the Excel sheet by typing into the table ... but that doesn't give you a change of the attributes.

You could try using the old Express tool's AttOut & AttIn commands. Only it produces TXT files (tab delimited) and you need to keep the handle column otherwise the link is broken.
Common sense - the curse in disguise. Because if you have it, you have to live with those that don't.
