...But yes, you could say have a QR code by a door, scan it and call up drawings for that area.
Or see a schedule of outstanding work planned for it.
Or use it to enter a request for work on that item/area....

Point it at a website with an embedded Navisworks viewer object, with the QR formatted to provide a default view that matches its location.  Could do the same thing in-house with piping isometrics, pointing it to the Freedom (or full-on Simulate) application.  Wonder if I could embed these inside a Navisworks NWD file...

I know I'm a bit late to the party here but have you seen this routine. We use a slightly modified version to point users to an online database of our drawings so that they can check they are working from the latest revision. We added a hyperlink to the block so that when the user is viewing a DWF they can click on the QR and follow the link as though they had used a scanner.

Hey, very nice, had not seen that one. I too hyperlink so dwf users can do that.

Nice to see this being used out there, so much more real world value then coupons.
