Can thumbnail background color be changed.?
« on: April 21, 2011, 12:19:58 PM »
I am exploring the possibilities of content browser of AutoCAD 2012 and came across a contrast issue.
The thumbnail background color is white and the lines are as drawn. (Drawing with black background)

Is it possible to change the Thumbnail Background color to black to get a better preview.?

I'm only using 2009 but...

I think it depends on the background colour you use for your layouts, model space, etc.

After trying it, it appears that ALL thumbnails' backgrounds change WITH the background colour, regardless of whether you save the drawing or not.  I thought you'd have to open and save each file to get the background to change.

Changed modelspace background color to what ever dark one and saved the drawing  and in content explorer it is always displayed with color 7 background and this makes it very difficult to see how thumbnail looks like .

Did you try full on BLACK or one of the darker grey colors?  How about something really wild like GREEN to see if its a blanket change?  I suspect the black background might trigger a flag to replace it with WHITE.  Just a stab in the dark.
If you are going to fly by the seat of your pants, expect friction burns.

try {GreatPower;}
   catch (notResponsible)

   finally

I tried it with full black and the standard background color.(Also changed layer 0 to whatever color)
All dwg's  are in modelspace saved and it does not contain blocks the drawing itself is the block to be inserted in production drawing.
And no luck always background color white...
That is the case on windows 7  and xp os

Will try tomorrow with a wild color and see what happens.
Did not save the dwg on autocad 2010  also tomorrow..

As expected.
When having  one dwg file containing a lot of blocks the thumbnail preview  background color of a block is black ( in dc and explorer).
