Topic: Custom Viewport Scale Not Working

Hello everyone,

I am having a problem with my viewport scales/annotative text custom scales.  I am using Civil 3D 2008.  I need to plot a drawing at 1" = 2000', which would require a custom scale.  In paperspace, I click the VP Scales button and select 'Custom...' and the drawing just hangs until I hit Esc.  Also, if I select text and try to add an annotative text scale (I think both of these commands are _scalelistedit) , the same thing happens.  Any suggestions?  I looked through my list of .arx files using 'appload', but didn't have much luck.

Have you tried doing a repair?

no, I have only tried recovering the drawing, restarting CAD, rebooting the computer.

Try creating a custom scale and when it "hangs" press ALT + SPACEBAR then select M for MOVE.  Most likely the dialog box is off the screen somewhere.
