Someone with some experience in getting a surface or solid  at a given distance from a surface/ 3dfaces ?

It's a good idea, but sometimes I have the 3DFACE so that I can not easily make a mesh that contains them faithfully.

Hello to the people of the swamp:
I think I have one solution ...¿!?  :-)
Generating points on the faces normal to the desired distance and then generating a triangulation mesh based in

http://paulbourke.net/papers/triangulate/tri.lisp

with all the new points. I think it will work as long as the surface does not have many cavities. I hope. :-o

It is necessary to follow the path opened by the great masters.
Paul Bourke's routine is perfect for areas without convexity. And very fast. :lol: :lol:
She generates some small triangles on the edges of the contour.

But looking for a blatantly tilted normal can locate and eliminate these ghost triangles.
Another thing is to do a very professional program to do it automatically so perfect.

It opens up many possibilities ... such entities on a project various irregular field.
A photo? A logo on the grass of a sports field? :lol: :lol:


One could calculate the perspective from the point of view of a television camera to give the feeling flat image, being on an uneven surface? :-o

Thanks but is only a little work and much Euclidean geometry.
The previous dwg has a small problem of coordinates Z ( steps ).
I think in the new is resolved.
Please , put the view "OK" and active / desactive the layer "FOTO"....It is surprising ?
Do you find interesting? Why would it serve?
