Layers
« on: January 12, 2005, 12:12:55 PM »
2005 ADT
When I select the Layer Properties Manager button the layer dialogue box does not appear. ACad goes into pause mode untill I hit escape. Typing _layer at the conmmand has the same effect. Any thoughts as its driving me nuts.

Have you tried -layer to see if it is put on the command line? Or try .layer....I think putting the period before ensures that the native acad command is used.

That works ok. But have you tried working with the layers this way? Yer yer I know we used to do it this way, but I had hoped that we had moved on somewhat. Thanks.

So the -layer work or the .layer works? Is CMDDIA is set to 1?

If .layer (DOTlayer) works, by that I mean opens the layer manager dialog box, it sounds as if the layer command has been redefined somewhere.

The -layer works, sorry did not try.layer, Im' at home now. Will try again tomorrow. I am presumining that ddima is set to 1 as all other dialogue boxes open.
Thanks.
Edit Nope .layer has the same effect as above.
