Plan and profile sheets
« on: May 26, 2010, 06:18:53 PM »
I am using Civil3D 2010 and I used sheet set manager to create plan and profile sheets. On all the pages it appears that there are two grids, not lined up. Anyone have a clue what this might be?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hold on there Dizzy ;)

Did you use the Plan Production Tools to generate your Sheets, and have them added to your New or Existing Sheet Set?

Did you use your own  DWT?

can you send me or post a sample of the file for a Faster more Correct response?

what is your LTSCALE setting?

what Profile View, and Profile Band Sets (and styles) do you have applied to your profiles?

did you stack the 'reference' profiles on top of themselves, uh you know accidentally?

I did use the plan production tools and my own dwt.

ltscale and ps ltscale are both set to 1. Layer lt scale is set to 0.5. If I create my own viewport, it looks fine. So, I checked the ltscale in my dwt and it is also set to 1

uh...I don't see anything wrong when I open it...

print..plot..or otherwise show me the problem ;)

let me keep looking...

although I do get a lot of missing ref, and xref infromation warnings....so it could be in one of those files...

use my favorite tool...select one of them bad critters and perform a LIST on it see what it says...

IGNORE THIS POST
Yes, only you have it set to use FULL band height tics...even though the tic display is off..I wonder...

or if someone turned it on in one of your files...(styles)

left to show process...of elimination....

or....is the attached image file showing Grid Overlapping Text the issue you are fighting?

If YES....the issue lies within your Profile View Style....

you might want to try NOT getting the additional profile properties from your roadway grid...and instead try the wizard and verify the settings here for profile styles...and your grid labels can be placed to the outside...you will need to widen your profile view frame in your template slightly....

the profile view looks fine in model space. It is only when I use sheet set manager to creat sheets.

how do I change this?

IGNORE the the band set...that was a red herring...see above for the 'solution'

your profile vies for the sheets are being assign styles...examine the settings for Intermediate, and Last View that are being assigned to your Main Road profile view....

When you tell the app to use that profile for a source of settings...one needs to be sure that it has the settings one really wants assigned to it.
You may need or want to set up different Inetermediate, and Last View styles to push the text outside the profile view grid....
