(AutoCAD LT) Error Message
« on: January 04, 2011, 04:18:36 PM »
I just installed LT 2011 on my computer and while working in the drawing editor I constatly get the error message:
“You do not have permission to save to this location.  Contact your administrator to obtain this permission.”  (there is no active “save” command).  This message is interfering with my work.  What’s wrong?

I use Windows 7.

Where do you have autocad configured to save your temp files?

Turn OFF Autosave

OR

Make sure you are local Administrator/Power User on that machine; and have full permissions on all your working folders.

now you mention it, I did change that to a folder under LT 2011 I call "File Backups".  I always do that with all my autocad installs cause I don't like the convoluted place autodesk likes to hide them.

Yeah, now if I want to change it back I'll have to reinstall cause I sure as hell don't remember it!  Can you paste it in to a reply?

Any idea how to check this?
