PDF file Help!!
« on: December 02, 2004, 03:28:46 PM »
Dones anyone know of a better way to put Cutsheets (PDF files) into a CAD drawing. Other then turning the PDF to a Tiff or Jpg file. This really doesnt work that well the text gets jumbled and funcky things like to happen.

Help is appreciated!

Thanks!

No...these PDF's are not Drawings files they are actual Cut sheets of equipment.

Like for a JBL control 25 speaker...they have specs and what not on them. My boss want to have these on the drawings instead of a seperate document set. this way we can have the Spec documents with the drawings.

I tried turning them into Jpegs and Tif and Targa files but they dont print out right. The text is all jumbled and for some reason the image likes to shrink when it gets printed.

Any other suggestions....

THanks!

What we do is place the image in paperspace instead of modelspace. We had a similar problem until we moved them to PS.

Adobe Illustrator will take a PDF and write it to a dwg.

We use TIFF images for those type applications
