Objects disappears when printing
« on: February 02, 2009, 09:23:30 AM »
Using Acad's MDT2008 with Windows XP Professional, on a Dell Precision 390 PC, and using Savin4051SP printer.
We have all the current service packs and updates.

We have an intermittent printing problem where portions of our drawing do not print.
We can find no common denominator for this issue.
When this occurs, we save, close, then reopen the drawing and all is well.
It's never just a particular layer, color, or block that fails to print.
Last time it happened it was 1/2 of a line of attribute text.
Occasionally this will also appear on screen.

Has anyone seen or experienced anything similar to this.
Any ideas what to do>

Yup, on AutoCAD MEP 2008.  A diagonal chunk of MTEXT notes would be obliterated for no particular reason.  Randomly.  I've never figured it out.  It happened on different machines with different amounts of RAM, all running the same printing software, printing to the same plotter.  Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.

Just deal with it and hope you get everything printed out.   :|

Sounds like an Autodesk issue to me.

I second the above comments and solutions.

Every so often we have a couple of pieces of text that won't print.  Print it from another computer and it prints fine.  Wait a few days and print it again from the first computer and it prints fine.   :realmad:
