who here has experience with printing dwf files? we just received a bunch of architecturals but when i try to print them all that prints out is blanks sheets about 48 x 11 after ihave specified 48 x 36. It seem like some kind of cut method error to me but i can't figure out how to solve it. I just want to print these out in a large enough size to read for bidding so how can this be easily done. i have no experience with dwf's.

I print them all the time (from DrawingSearcher) and it's a little less than perfect, but I've never had the problem you're mentioning.  Are you printing them from Acad?

depending upon the viewer you have... don't use the "Print" from the menu.
You have to right-click on the dwf and use the "Print" option from there.
I think the problem has been fixed on later viewers

Well, the drawing pops up in DWF Viewer, but that's where they are generated from.

Did you try 'Force All Geometry to Black'?
Do you have the latest version?  I believe Autodesk just released an update.

i was thinking it could be an internal thing like a driver issue or something. i'm using the latest viewer #5 and just tried your method but nothing is printing out  :?

they are trying to tell me here to insert each one into autocad then scale them up and i have about 50 of them. i'm thinkin it will be fasterfor now and in the long run  to learn the proper way, correct

If you can get one to print properly in Acad, try the Batchplot utility...
?

it's the cutting and pasting and scaling up that i'd like to avoid. i tried doing one using this method and it took forever. there's also an issue of our plotter being 36" wide so i'd have to rotate the ole. the lineweights on the one i printed also came out real screwy in acad. basically i'd rather not do it that way.

Well, I don't know...I had no problems plotting it out in DWF Viewer.
Can you post a screenshot of your 'print' dialog box?

"Some of the fonts used on this page are missing. They have been substituted with default system fonts. - Missing Font(s): Futura Lt BT [Arial]"

Arial is what it replaced it with.  check you options to see what it's replacing missing fonts with.

when you upload a file to the lily pond, right click on it and select "Copy Link Location" and paste it into your message.

It worked!  (one small hint for future screenshots...ALT+PrntScrn then paste into Paint etc and save as a jpg or png...)

One thing I noticed was near the top...
Type: Generic / Text Only

Might be something in your plotter properties...
