Help with shortcuts menus

Does anybody knows how to fire popups generated via VLA as shortcutmenus?
This example generates one (*custom-popup* global variable), but i can fire it as a shortcut menu via MENUCMD (I suppose it's due to an absent 'alias'...)

Thanks for answering, ronjonp
!
The code in the link works with a little help (good columbine, that one!), but I find it pretty risky as it destroys the original POP0. It's necesary to keep data somehow in order to restore the original POP0 again. I'll try to solve this problem if nobody else has any other idea :doa:.
