How can you keep a raster image bound to a dwg....kinda like you can insert or bind an xref to a dwg.?

What's the problem you're having?
It sounds sketchy, but what if you inserted it as a block instead?  I'd advise against it, but...?

You can't bind a raster image like you can an xref. But you can insert it as an OLE object - simple copy/paste from imaging software to acad.

I wish you could bind raster images as well. If you insert it, best to have it on an isolated layer
