Is there lisp routine that will allow you to lock drawings in place in model space? This would be very useful when using Xrefs. I don’t know a way of doing that. You can lock the layers but it is only for the main drawing. There were times that I wish that I had the ability to lock the drawings in place. This would be very useful for background drawings for doing electrical, mechanical, roof and floor framing. Not to mention a lot of other situations. By locking the drawings in place. You can still modify the drawing and it would still update to other drawings.
So this would be different from locking layers.

How about locking the layer that the xref is on?

That would work. But, we have many outside consultant working on our drawings. I really don't want to rely on them to lock the correct layer. With this routine, it will lock the dgw reguardless of what layer the Xref is on.
