Don’t mind the tie too much.... I just hate wearing slacks everyday. This is the age of khakis!!!! Slacks are so old school!

Well, when I came over to check this place out, the boss met me wearin an Oakley ball cap, polo shirt and jeans, took me to my office and there sat those dual Dell 19 monitors powered by a dual 3ghz running 1 gig of ram... and I have a huge window in my second floor office.. I can't believe they pay me to work here.. In over 20 years of engineering experience, this is THE first time I've had a window to look out of.

Yeah, no ties around this neck..  My neck is 21.5 inches, I'd have to wear 4XL shirts to find a neck to fit, then it looks like Abbu the Tent Maker designed my clothes for me.

Casual dress here too....The only ones who wear ties at this place are salesmen and they don't stay long.

Tie... hhrmmph... bloody drawstring on a manure sack.

Last time I wore a tie, (only time come to think of it) I got married.

Now .....
Ok..I'll have to word this in a way that you will understand, but not give away the answer ...
3. Assume you have a 3x3 grid (actual dimensions are irrelevant) in model space with 9 equal areas. How would you handle placing an attributed block in all of the grids, yet only have one attribute?

4. How would you globally change the style of every dimension in the drawing from one predefined dimstyle to another predefined dimstyle?

Hey Keith can you answer your questions? I’m kind of curious to see the answers....

Ok here goes

3) Insert and array

4) Properties

Do you need them explained further???

What prize do I get for being a good CADDer

1) you still duplicate the attribute with array...

2) I thought that too but too easy.... I think he is thinking of another way but I'm not to sure....  :?

There are a couple methods for this, one would be properties another would be DIM1 UPDATE ALL, still another -DIMSTYLE APPLY ALL

I think Keiths answer somehow lies in Globally editing the attributes?
May be one is preset and the rest are invisible?

Then again, he said only one Attribute or was it one "visible" attribute?

I don't know. With Keith and his VBA abilities, anything is possible

3) MINSERT the attributed block... edit the attribute on the minserted block and it updates all occurences of that attribute in the entire grid.

4) Kudos to CADaver ... for the simple solution...other solutions are
...highlight all dimesions, select dimstyle from dimension toolbar
...properties -> filter for dimesions -> select dimstyle in property dialog

Another way (much slower and inefficient)....
....layiso dim layer -> draw dimension of new style -> match properties to all visible dimensions.

Never had that happen, I have used this scenario on R12, R13, R14, A2k, A2k2, and A2k4 ...

From the error, it looks like it is telling us that the object being modified is no longer in the database...

I'll have to look at that....

Has anyone else been able to duplicate this error?
