Speakin of which, I need to hire a new draftie around the end of Oct to mid Nov. Any ideas on how to test these wanna-be CADers? 3D and MS/PS are a must............ I have some ideas but am open to suggestions.
ME!!! ME!!! ... oh wait ... nevermind ... I'd never get Dr.Demento to go to Missery
MP ... Ok I'm stupid ... just what does it mean when an object's normal projects south?
I can model with the best of them and in 5 years I have never heard this expression.
On the other questions how is this ....
1) I always recommend a 1:1 but If you want the modelspace drawing a different scale then I can make that happen as well... I just don't recommend it.
2) Uh .. in PS... unless your trick is in reference to the "floating" part ... but by nature aren't all viewports in PS "floating"? Unless you are referring to the "non-floating" fixed viewports you get when Tilemode is set to 1 and the vports command is issued.... but the whole issue was supposed to be a trick now wasn't it...
3) Depends.... typically ...extrude ... set height ... set taper angle ... unless the angle is not known but the height and "depth" of taper is known ... then I would chamfer the object ... of course presuming the taper as specified can exist on that particular object, or I might simply select the plane on which it is to be tapered and subtract the uneeded portion ... it all depends of course on the shape of the object....
