Topic: Plotting problem with AutoCAD 2008

We recently upgraded to AutoCAD 2008. We used to place all pc3 files in a network folder and users set the plotter support path to that folder. With AutoCAD 2008, this does not seem to work. Whenever we try to plot something, a message box will pop up but it disappears within a second, all I could catch from the message was "Canceling...". What we ended up doing was copying those pc3 files to everyone's C drive. Anyone else have such a problem?

Haven't had that problem here and we're running MEP, Architecture, Land Desktop and Civil 3D 2008.  All are pointing to the same network location for PC3s/PMPs.

No. Plotting works as used to after we did that.

We had the same problem when moving to both 2007 and 2008.  The only thing that resolved the issue was to create new pmp and pc3 files for each upgrade and give them a new network location.  Once pointed to the new files, everything worked as before.

Thanks Stephen. That's so odd. I'm wondering what will happen if you move those files back to their original network folder. I'll try your solution and post back.

yep, after I copied those files to another folder it worked. then i set the plot support path back to the original folder, it also worked.
