attributes and fonts

Something just started happening and I can't figure out how to fix it.
Lets say I use a font in an attribute in a block. I used the font I want to use. We will call that font B. The default font is another style. We'll call that A. The font won't take. It will only take if I make text or Mtext. Never had this issue before. Any thoughts?

Can you attach a 2006 compatible drawing where this is happening. Might be easier to trouble shoot that way...

Just as a test Barry try the following:
Create a New Text Style, Call it PRIME
assign it the font of Webdings
Use the ATTDEF command and create a new attribute and use the PRIME style you just made.
What happens?

ok. I was able to ferret out the problem. It didn't like the old definition of the font I was using. I updated it and it worked.
