Thanks.

I want to ask one more thing. Is the source code of ACET functions or Express Tools available ? If yes then where can I get it ?

Even then, its company property.  You can't take it home for your own use.

That too was addressed (IMO):

I'm not against users taking advantage of the utilities per se, though I do openly tell folks I won't install or support them.

However I flat out will not use any of the ACET code libraries, and that's what I was making reference to in my first and second posts. There are various authors, some qualified, some not so much; some code is so so, some of it complete crap, some of it resides in arx files without source code ad infinitum, and worse, the package as a whole has historically enjoyed a sporadic existence with regards to licensing and availability. To be aware of these factors and then deliberately invite them into a software project would, imo, be irresponsible -- ergo my first comment.

No thanks, writing and supporting software is challenging enough when (you enjoy the illusion) everything is under your control.

True. I just meant that's the only way one would get access to the source code.

Ask these guys, maybe they reversed engineered the functions?

Some of it is open (the lsp files), but the fas and arx files are not.

True.
I've gone through each of the .lsp files and copied out the (defun) lines, into a notepad file.
I've added the express tools authors comments that were visible in the source codes to my compilation.
There's only about 50% of the (defuns) that have any information tacked onto them so I'll be organizing and googling, trying to get documentation function at a time, and additionally I've sent an i.t. request for them to install the .chm creator software from Microsoft so I can start organizing them in a more permanent way.

IMO ... you could probably replace most of the functions from express tools with functions here on TheSwamp  8)

Examples of fair use include commentary, search engines, criticism, parody, news reporting, research, teaching, library archiving and scholarship.

Yes, I think this falls under library archiving, or commentary.

Furthermore, I don't plan to achieve any sort of financial gain, merely to provide documentation where the creators failed to, simply because of the number of persons using these tools who may have used/needed more extensive documentation.

"If you copy this computer program without permission of Autodesk, you are violating the law."

I'm fairly certain that posting here constitutes a copy, and any downloads are further copies....

But nothing mentioned over the source code.
please refer to the two previous posts regarding this matter.

On second thought, I'm not going to spend any more time on this.
Pretty disappointing that rather than say "great, documentation for express tools" people say "youre violating the law" so that's about enough for me to not want to proceed :0

I recently requested that some source code copied from the swamp's "show your stuff" board be removed from a couple of posts at the Autodesk forums and replaced with a link to the swamp.

Here's the moderators take on the matter:

We started a thread a while back where we were rewriting a lot of the express tool functions.
