Xref Pathing?

Is there a way to quickly save the path of an Xref?
Sometimes I get drawings that are a relative path and we need it to be the actual path (only cause we want to make sure the drawings that are being pulled in are the correct version).
Is there a routine or something that will do that automatically? or do I just have too repath everything.
Right now what I do is throw everything in one directly and go into it a drawing go to the dialog box and hit save (if its right) on the path....very time consuming.
Thanks.

Start > All Programs > Autodesk > AutoCAD 2008 > Reference Manager
You can edit all xref's in a drawing (or any number of drawings)

careful with it though. I find there are times it crashes with AEC based references in the files.
I haven't found the exact culprit, but whenever the drawings call for the Object Enabler libraries it crashes half the time.
